As some of you may know, I’m currently full into the XBOX360Homebrew contest with my mini game Hack-1 (working title).
Who says you do not get nothing in Life for free – Well you can
XNA Rockstar posted a good go-to article on the XNA Framwork forum recently, little run up on what to learn to progress into being a better game programmer.
Well most of us at some point will casually chat to the XNA team on the forums or IRC, usually asking for answers to questions or problems, or for the more persistent ones pestering about new features and why things are just the way they want them.
This one from Mike Schuld’s, The Ramblings of a Hazy Mind site.
Kurt Jagers has yet again excelled himself with his latest edition to the 2D ile engine tutorial, now written for XNA Beta 2 as well.
Well as I mentioned in my last post, XNA Game Studio express Beta 2 would be coming soon and lo and behold what did I find while checking my blog posts this morning, just this lovely little post from the XNA team
For most of you in the know the XNA framework and XNA Games Studio Express are going to get a refresh to beta 2, thanks to Dave "LetsKillDave" Weller (still gotta love his alias), he has given an example of the changes to a sample tutorial, in this case Kurt Jagers 2D Tile game tutorial (I happen to like this one a lot)
Thanks to good old (well maybe not all that old) Dave Webber on the XNA team for this little heads up and in case you haven’t heard yet, the XNA team are going to release another Beta of the XNA Game Studio Express V.Soon with even more goodness in the package.
As life moves on it seams I get less and less done, even while using the XNAhomebrew contest to kick my rear into gear (hay that rhymes) and get Hack-1 off the ground, first 2 weeks full steam ahead…… Last 2 weeks Nahda.
As a side note and not really about game programming, an extract from (strange place indeed) the Dilbert Blog, good old Scott Adams has some ramblings about his past in business, life and such.
